Red Bull’s David Coulthard will drop five places on the Monaco grid following a gearbox change resulting from his qualifying crash on Saturday. It means the Scot will now start from 15th place.

Despite going off into the barriers exiting the tunnel at the end of Q2, Coulthard had done enough to secure a top-ten grid slot. However, damage to his RB4 was extensive enough to require significant repairs, including a new transmission.

Two other drivers have already received gearbox penalties this weekend - Sebastian Vettel of Toro Rosso and Force India’s Giancarlo Fisichella, who start 19th and 20th respectively.
